About Us - Kelly Signature Travel

We're Tom and Christine Kelly. And we've always asked the same question: "Where to next?"

We grew up in the Berkshires of Western Massachusetts; Norman Rockwell country, where the hills roll green in summer and the town greens still look like a painting. It's home, and we love it. But from early on, we both had the travel bug something fierce. Tom had his atlas open next to every book he read as a kid, tracking every place the story took him. Christine didn't board her first plane until high school when she went on a two-week trip to England that quietly changed everything. From that point on, for both of us, life has mostly been what happenes between adventures.

Over the years, we've explored five continents between us. Tom has traveled to more than 35 countries and 45 states, lived and studied in Ireland at Trinity College Dublin, led groups through the Irish countryside, Alaskan rainforests and the Old Town of Dubrovnik. He’s stood on the rim of the Santorini caldera, skied The Rockies and The Alps, kissed the Blarney Stone more times than he can count on his fingers... and loved every minute of it. Christine has cruised through Alaska, Europe, the Caribbean and beyond, developing deep hands-on expertise with luxury cruise lines including Oceania, Regent Seven Seas, Silversea, and Explora Journeys. Together we've turned a lifelong passion into a profession and honestly, we can't imagine doing anything else.

From the Berkshires to the World

Before we were travel advisors, our friends and family were already asking us to plan their trips. We took real joy in it. The research, the design, sending people off, and hearing their stories when they came back. Eventually the lightbulb clicked on: we were good at this, and we might as well put our passion to work.

We're proud members of Travel Leaders Network and affiliated with Avoya Travel, two of the largest and most respected travel networks in the country. That gives our clients something booking online simply can't deliver: the buying power, preferred access, and professional resources of a major international consortium, paired with the personal attention of a small family business that genuinely cares how your trip turns out.

We haven't been everywhere. But between the two of us, our professional networks, and our relationships with destination specialists around the world, we know someone who has, and we're not too proud to pick up the phone and ask.

How We Work

We both work the business full time, and we work as a team. When you become a Kelly Signature Travel client, you get both of us; Tom's logistics mastery and destination research depth, Christine's cruise expertise and warm client care, and a partnership that communicates, collaborates, and genuinely has your back.

We answer the phone. We respond to texts. We've dropped everything on a Saturday night when a client's passport went missing in Philadelphia and worked the phones until we figured out how to get our clients to Helsinki (instead of Copenhagen) in time to catch up with their ship on Tuesday. (Yes, that actually happened. Yes, we got them there.)

Our clients tend to describe the experience less like hiring a travel agency and more like having a very well-traveled friend who happens to know everyone at the front desk and who won't let anything ruin your trip.

Christine was like a guardian angel looking out for me with the myriad of details that this very complicated vacation involved. She thought of things, like hotel, airport and cruise port transfers, that I never would have thought of booking ahead. She made sure that I had accomodations and transportation when I needed them in the add on days to my cruise. And the best thing of all was a trip overview app on my phone that showed me the day to day activities which included car rentals, other transportation, other hotel stays, shore excursions, etc, etc. It was so hard to keep everything straight on this two month trip. Christine was VERY responsive to my few panic calls when I needed to change something no matter what the time zone difference was. She even went to bat for me to get reimbursements on her own initiative when appropriate. She was always friendly and upbeat. I felt that we evolved into a friendship from our initial customer/client relationship.
